Collective Worship Policy

School vision: Epping Upland’s theological Christian vision is deeply rooted in the ‘Parable of the Sower and the Seed’, Matthew Chapter 13 verses 3-8, with particular focus on verse 8 ‘other seeds fell on good soil, where it produced a crop - a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.’

As a school, the parable encapsulates our vision of creating a place where our children are nurtured and provided for according to their own very unique needs. By offering them a variety of gifts through experience, opportunity, learning and discovery we enable them to be the best they can be for themselves.

Epping Upland is the good soil that allows all our children to flourish and achieve their full potential. Epping Upland provides the rich soil that cares for, nurtures, supports and develops every child.

Daily Worship: The Heartbeat of our School

Our worship is Inclusive, Invitational, and Inspirational.

  • Pupil Leadership: Our Year 5 and 6 Worship Ambassadors now lead sections of our daily gathering and maintain our 'Collective Worship Feedback Book', where they record how the day’s message has helped them 'Grow'.

  • The Parish Link: We work in close partnership with the Epping Team Ministry. Whether at All Saints Church or in our school hall, we gather to 'Share' in the teachings of Jesus, ensuring our 'roots' are deep enough for any challenge.

  • Monitoring: Worship is regularly evaluated by the Trust, Governors, and pupils to ensure it remains the "good soil" for our community’s spiritual flourishing.
